Merino
Merino is a sheep native of North Africa which was raised at first for its soft and solid wool. Its wool was introduced in France in the 18th century.
The fleece, dense and homogeneous, remains as contrived thanks to its fibres with "small springs" which become entangled.
Merino wool is a fine wool with a range of 17-24 microns. It has good crimp and is very soft. Therefore, this wool is good for next to the skin garments.
